It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over.....
Come Labor Day, everyone will start referring to fall and long gone are the long days of summer, beach day posts on IG and our favorite summer outfits (sort of because you can easily transition them into fall with the right pieces). But even though we’re sad to see summer go, we’re super excited to wear all the new fall fashion trends for 2017! And if you’re not in the know of what’s going to be hot, here are some fall fashion trends you’re going to want to jump on!
Red is the Color of the Season
Girls, bust out your favorite red lipstick and wear it proudly because this fall it’s all about the bold hue! Power red everything is in, so don’t be shy and show off your bold side. Everything from red coats, sweaters, to trousers, blouses and even boots, red will be your new go-to color when it comes to outfit inspiration. And if you’re not comfortable with such a powerful color, tone it down a bit by adding in some red accessories to your outfit or try darker shades of red as shown in the example below.
The Wild West
Cowboy-inspired looks are on trend for the season so think cow prints, cowboy boots, and leather vests as you start to plan out all of your fall outfits. Steel-toed boots are a great way to ease your way into the trend since cowhide prints aren’t exactly for everyone. You can also pair cowboy inspired boots and hat with floral pattern romper or a dress for a cowboy look with a twist like in the outfit below.
Plaid is always on trend, but this fall, it’s all about ‘70s plaid staples that are bright and bold. The vintage print has a nostalgic feel, making you bohemian beauties all giddy for the upcoming trend for fall! To rock this trend, look for classic coat or statement pants in this ’70s-inspired plaid print!
Turtlenecks start coming out in fall as people start to dress for the colder weather, but this season, up your turtleneck style by opting for blouses and pieces with Victorian-inspired collars, which adds a more sophisticated look to the cold weather staple. A sheer white blouse with a Victorian collar with your jeans and some over-the-knee boots will be your new favorite outfit to wear this fall as you feel all those “Shakespeare in Love” vibes!Or for more dressy look try a dress that has a Victorian collar on like the one from Love Me Trender.
Skirts are having a moment come fall in the mid-length. You can try in different fabrics and styles. To look sophisticated, yet chic and trendy try wearing it with a sweater and heeled boots. If you want some movement & romantic feel try pleated just like in our pleated golden skirt example. If you are more into the sexy look try bodycon skirts.
It is safe to say that Pastel Pink is the color of the year and had its peak in Spring-Summer 2017.However Pastel Pink is not going anywhere this fall, so you can keep wearing what you purchased earlier this year or buy new fall favorites such as sweaters and coats in this IT color. This pastel pink top is available at Love Me Trender if you need some new killer pieces.
Stockings are a thing of the past this fall, with the new fishnets taking over! It girls everywhere are in love with them and you’ve probably already seen a few pop up in your IG feed as it gets closer to fall. You can wear them under pants, skirts or even with destroyed denim for a fierce look that can’t be beaten!
Antique-Inspired Floral Prints

Dark, Chocolate Brown
There are always a few “it” colors every season, so besides red and pastel pink, dark chocolate brown will be everywhere this fall. Brown is now the new black as the dark color graces your IG feed as soon as it starts to get chilly outside. An easy way to work brown into your wardrobe is to get a new top or a cardigan in that color.
