What To Pack For A Beach Vacation

Posted on
Vacation season is on and popping! The warm weather makes everyone want to head out and get some rest and relaxation on vacation, with the beach one of the most sought out places this time of year. If you’re lucky enough to be able to take some time out of your busy and chaotic life to have some fun in the sun on some remote beach with crystal-blue waters and sand as soft as clouds, you’ll definitely want to make sure that you pack the right items so that all your Instagram pictures are on point! But before we divulge a few packing items you’ll need on your beach holiday, you’ll want to follow our pre-packing tips!

Make a list

Travel List

Before you start packing, create a list of what you’ll need so that you don’t over pack or forget a key wardrobe item. For those who really like to get things done in advance, start trying on things you’re thinking of packing at least two weeks before the actual trip so that you have time to go through what fits you, what looks good on you and how to style new outfits you just bought for your beach vacation. Make a list of what you’ll need so that you can simply check it off! If you need anything else, you still have some time to go out and buy anything.

Pack the Necessities

make up

Even though you’re thinking about outfits, don’t forget a few travel necessities like travel-size toiletries, stain remover wipes, any medications if needed, feminine hygiene products and, of course, your skincare and makeup bag! Make a list for just these things so that you don’t forget any necessities.

Beach Essentials

When trying to figure out what to bring on your beach vacation, start off with your swimsuits, which are beach essentials! Bring at least three swimsuits and if you are doing two-piece ones, make sure that they coordinate with the tops so that you have even more options to flaunt your style. And even though one-pieces aren’t your style, bring one just in case you feel as if you’ve indulged too much and won’t like the way you look in a bikini. Other beach essentials include sunglasses, hats and any beach cover-ups you’ll wear with your swimsuits. These items should be at the top of your list because, after all, you’ll be hanging out at the beach a lot!Photo by Clinetography

Make a list of just basics you’ll need for your vacation, including any socks, undergarments, bras and the like. Believe it or not, but people are too consumed with their other outfits that they sometimes forget to pack such basics for their vacation!

Chill clothes

Chill Clothes

When you’re not at the beach, figure out what you plan on doing. Maybe you’ll want to hit the shops of a local town or simply go sightseeing. Whatever it is, plan on bringing clothes that are comfy and chill like shorts, tees, tanks and the like just like the Blush tank in the example above. These items will make going out on excursions easier and you won’t have to worry about getting them dirty or messed up. If you plan on working out on vacation, don't forget your gym clothes and some sneakers (which you should always pack just in case!).

Dressy clothes

Depending on where you go on your beach vacation, you might want to pack a few items to enjoy the nightlife. Some places are more chill than others and don’t really require full going out attire, making it easier to rock a sundress or tunic with your favorite sandals at night, but other places have amazing nightlife spots, which require some more dressy clothes. Figure out how many nights you plan on painting the town red and bring at least two different options.

Don’t forget to match your outfits with your favorite accessories! But don’t bring anything too expensive, just in case. Opt for fun, colorful accessories that you’ll be able to mix and match with everything that you’re packing for your vacation. After all, you don’t want to pack your entire jewelry closet with you!

Beach Tote

Ditch your designer bags and bring one cute tote that you’ll be able to use at the beach! Your tote is where you’ll be packing all your beach essentials like a book, travel snacks, sunglasses, SPF and anything else you’ll need to chill in the sand. For the night, bring a small clutch that carries only the essentials.

Light Layers

Even though it’ll be hot where you’re going, you can never be too careful because the weather is always unpredictable. Bring a light sweater or jacket just in case the weather changes and to keep you warm during those chilly flights…It’s better to be safe than sorry!
By packing only what you’ll need, you’ll be able to fit more souvenirs in your luggage to bring back home!
